A
philosophy catches on ! |

As close as life
philosophy and riding a motorcycle is connected inseparably to each |
|
other, the more the
opinion about how a motorcycle has to look is divided. |
|
|
|
It was a lot of hard work, that motorcycles
nowadays do not have to look like in the 50’s after having passed a
technical control.
In the beginning of the 70’s the North-Hessian pioneering spirit
brought the first
technical controlled chopper on the streets and with it a lot of
movement in the scene. Even is those days the handmade seats of
Georg and Harald Thiele, which are individually fitted on every kind
of motorcycle, were esteemed. |

Following from the constantly growing demand for perfectly fitting
and
handmade
chopper-seats was the setting up of GTS – Gebrüder Thiele Seats. |
|
|
|
From the initial production of prototypes developed a range of
products beginning with the standard seat forms to special features
for every kind of motorcycles. |
|
|
|
By now there is no other seller on the entire market, who is
offering such a big range
of products and so many different design variations. |
|
|
|
Since 1977 GTS does not only create alternatives for the seats
installed ex works,
but
is
also present with its know-how concerning the realisation of new
motorcycle rough drafts. |
|
|
|

Despite of the demand of offering a favourable price-performance
ratio to thecustomers in the times of mass production, GTS relies
upon handmade articles.
Besides the craft manufacture the quality is depending on the used
material. That is why we only use especially chosen leather or very
hardwearing imitation leather for the seat covers. |
|
|
|
On a coated galvanized sheet steel, which is equipped with rubber to
protect the edges, a special foam is fastened. This special material
gives the seat its final shape and guarantees a great comfort even
with very flat seats e.g. cobra-seat. After having covered the basis
form with leather or imitation leather, the bottom of the seat is
covered with carpet to protect the motorcycle lacquer. |

The nearness of the employees to the product and the fact that every
step of the production is controlled are a guarantor for a
production on a high level.
The nearness to the customers is obvious for the team of GTS – it is
not regarded as a worth mentioning feature because is belongs to
our normal service.In personal conversations we can share
experiences with our customers and maybe create some new ideas. |
